Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal today called upon members of Kashmir golf club to cooperate in the endeavor of making the club self sustaining. “Solicit your cooperation to improve the finances of the club”. he said.
Chief Secretary was speaking while chairing the 24th Annual General meeting of Kashmir golf club members here today. The meeting today approved the election of executive committee members and also approved the budget allocation for the year 2011-12.
Highlighting the contributions of the club in developing national level golfers the meeting observed that overall functioning of the club has not been up to the mark and suggested various measures to revive the historic club.
The members called for upgradation of available facilities and restoration of proper drainage in the course area. Tourism department can extend its support in this regard and provide an expert to solve the drainage problem of the club, they opined.
The meeting also deliberated upon issue of auditing of accounts and other issues related to the club.
