Omar tenders ‘sincere’ apology

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday offered "sincere apology" to the family of Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah Ranjay, who succumbed to injuries at a hospital in Chandigarh in the wee hours of morning.

"Although it's scant consolation, I'd like to offer a sincere apology to the family of Sanaullah and my sympathies for their loss," Omar wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Police has claimed to have arrested a group of buglers who were extorting money from civilians at gunpoint from North Kashmir’s Bandipora.
