Jammu and Kashmir State has been selected for special excellence award for promotion of tourism by Conde Nast Traveller, India, an official said here.
Condé Nast International Ltd also publishes international editions in the U.S. Conde Nast Traveller India is a travel magazine that promises to give its readers comfortable and stylish travel options, he said.
The award will recognize J&K Government’s efforts and initiatives to promote tourism in the state and the record number of tourist arrival as a result, he said.
Condé Nast is largely considered to be the originator of the “lifestyle magazines”.
Minister for Tourism and Culture, Nawang Rigzin Jora would receive this award on November 29, 2012.
