Fighting continues in the Sverdlovsk region of eastern Ukraine, where the situation is “even more difficult” and “the enemy continues to attack,” the head of the Luhansk regional military administration said on Sunday.
Sergei Hade said in a statement that 60 houses had been demolished in the area and two had died in the rubble.
He said a woman was killed when a Russian shell collided with a high-rise building in Licensing on Saturday, injuring four more people in a strike. The airstrikes damaged the theater and 22 homes.
Separately, in an operational update on Sunday, civilians of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that Russia had carried out offensive operations in the area of the city of Severdonetsk, where “fighting will continue”.
In the Slovenes, about 60 kilometers (37 miles) to the west, Russia carried out “intense intelligence” on the city, and in the suburbs carried out airstrikes on the Tovenke region, and artillery fire on civilian infrastructure in nearby Porodich and Svyadohirsk.
